Mention of a piece of land called Piggins Mill Ground at West Buckland. Document 2062 B/T/70, date 1831 at Devon Record Office mentions a conveyance of parcels of this land from Ephraim Baker of West Buckland, yeoman, and Honor Kent of Cutcombe, spinster, to the Grand Western Canal Company for making the canal, banks, etc. With plan.
